The LSS Senior Affordable Housing program provides safe, low cost housing for seniors and person with disabilities who are unable to maintain larger, older homes due to rising costs, declining health, and other factors. Residents in all LSS Housing units must meet income eligibility criteria. LSS currently operates four apartment complexes in western Pennsylvania. A fifth project is currently starting in Titusville, PA and will be ready for occupancy in early 2007. LSS apartment buildings are handicapped accessible. Financial assistance for rent is available for eligible tenants through a subsidy from HUD (United States Housing and Urban Development) at many locations.
