The LSS Senior Employment Program provides assistance to Butler County residents, age 55 and older, wishing to enter or re-enter the workforce. The program refers qualified seniors to employers with appropriate job openings. In addition, the program offers on-the-job training and subsidized wages for older adults who need to upgrade their skills. Seniors may be placed with governmental or non-profit agencies for addition training. Private businesses may qualify for a 30-90 day training wage subsidy as an incentive to hire qualified seniors.
