October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

500 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day in the US - that's 182,460 new cases in the US every year.
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime.
60-70% of all cancers have been linked to diet and lifestyle choices.
The best advice to reduce your risk of breast cancer is to:
- Eat 5 or more servings of a variety of fruits and vegetables every day.
- Choose whole grains over processed (refined) grains.
- Limit intake of processed and red meats.
- Maintain a healthy weight throughout life.
- Be physically active daily.
- Avoid all tobacco products.
- Avoid or limit your intake of alcoholic beverages.
