Great Day for a Walk!

The weather on Saturday, May 21, was beautiful, and the energy level was through the roof! Lutheran Service Society had more than 100 people attend the walk and/or after-party that day, and the dollars raised left our goal of $10,000 in the dust!!
By the end of the walk, we had $15,400 in hand - and with a matching gift committed by the Allegheny County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and expected receipts of outstanding pledges, our final fundraising number will be more than $17,000!
For our internal employee team competition, congratulations to Team Marc on barely besting Team Norm. Both teams did an outstanding job with fundraising and participation, and everyone on both teams should be very proud of what they were able to accomplish this year!
Thank you to all of our sponsors, board members, event volunteers, employee team captains and lieutenants, walkers, and fundraisers for making this year's walk an amazing success! Your support and enthusiasm resulted in tremendous participation and fundraising numbers. We can't say enough how grateful we are for all you did!
