Long-time Volunteer, Elwyn Hildum, Celebrates Retirement

Friends and family gathered on Tuesday, August 31, to offer Elwyn Hildum congratulations and thanks for his many years of service as site coordinator for Lutheran Service Society's East Suburban Meals On Wheels location in Monroeville, Pa.
While most of Lutheran Service Society's sites are managed by paid staff, Elwyn coordinated the site as a volunteer. His volunteer work also included delivering meals with his wife, Jane. Elwyn and Jane will continue to volunteer by delivering meals, but Elwyn will no longer be coordinating the activities at the site.
At the party Elwyn also expressed his appreciation to volunteers who were especially helpful to him as site coordinator.
We are truly grateful to all of our volunteers for their time and dedication to Meals On Wheels and our other programs. We enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate Elwyn's work as site coordinator.
