Seniors Find New Careers through Employment Program

Two Title V trainees in the Senior Employment Program managed by Lutheran Service Society have found permanent employment since July 1, 2011. Carl Beck was placed as a trainee in the kitchen at the local YWCA, and then was hired there as a cook on July 15th. Karen Porter had been a trainee at the senior center Lutheran Service Society operates in Zelienople throughout 2010 and 2011. She was recently hired as the assistant manager at the center as of July 28th. We congratulate both former trainees and wish them much success in their new careers!
