Vote for SUE

Each year, the Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) holds the "American Volunteer Contest." Meals On Wheels programs across the country submit videos of their most dedicated volunteers, and program supporters vote for the winner. At Lutheran Service Society, we selected Susan Holzer as our nominee. Susan is a volunteer at our Meals On Wheels site in Carnegie. She was voted as our agency's Most Versatile Volunteer in the Meals On Wheels program this past year, and that contributed to our desire to nominate her for the MOWAA award. Susan was instrumental in a smooth staff transition when the kitchen's long-time site coordinator retired. Sue went above and beyond her regular volunteer duties and spent long hours helping to run the kitchen and train Candy Mageras, the new site coordinator. Please take the time to thank Sue for her hard work as a volunteer and vote for our submission video!!
If our video gets the most votes, we will receive an award of $1,000 from MOWAA to be used for our Meals On Wheels program.

When you view the video, click on the "Vote" button. You will be prompted to log-in to your account. Please do so, and vote for our video. (If you lose the link to our video, go to facebook.com/mowaa, then look for "AmVol Contest" and click to go to the American Volunteer Contest. Click to view entries, then search for Susan Holzer. Our video should appear, and you can click on the large button that says "Vote for this Entry."
If you do not have a Facebook account and you are willing to set up an account to vote...
- Go to www.facebook.com
- Under "sign up" enter your information (it's free).
- Click "sign up" and then finish creating your profile.
- View our video and click "Vote for this Entry."
If you do not have a Facebook account and do NOT want to set up an account, please consider sending an email with this information to all your friends and family members who do have Facebook accounts, and ask them to vote.
