Senior Employment
Lutheran Service Society's Senior Employment Program provides assistance to Butler County residents, ages 55 and over, wishing to enter or re-enter the workforce. The goal of the program is two-fold: 1) For an older worker to secure unsubsidized employment, and; 2) to promote the hiring of older workers.
Through this program we offer:
- Individualized assessment of skills, experience, and interests;
- Development of an employment plan;
- Job bank listing information on job openings;
- Referral to sources of funded basic and advanced vocational education;
- Orientation and training on interpersonal skills and work habits;
- Follow-up services after job placement has been made; and
- Supportive contacts and services to the worker and employer.
