Like our contract meal service, all of our catered food is prepared by our students under the supervision of our skilled Chef Instructors. Preparing and catering meals gives our students valuable food service skills that are not learned through bulk meal preparation alone.
We have experience catering everything from hors d'oeuvres at intimate gatherings to formal dinners for hundreds of guests. Just ask how we can meet your needs.

Springboard Kitchens Contract Meals
Springboard Kitchens provides nutritious meals to childcare centers, schools, nonprofit programs, senior homes, and other agencies needing daily food service throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area.
Springboard Kitchens can provide a variety of meals, including breakfast, snacks, and lunch. (Vegetarian and vegan meals are also available.) Because we are a training program, our meals typically contain more fresh and "from scratch" product than is often available through institutional food suppliers - because opening cans doesn't teach people how to cook! We also try to source local product as much as we can to support our many regional farmers and suppliers.
All meals are prepared by our students, who are working hard to transform their lives and to build new futures for themselves through culinary training and employment within the food service industry. Supervised by our team of skilled Chef Instructors, our students produce high quality meals that follow CACFP and USDA nutritional guidelines. Meals can be delivered either hot or cold (for on-site heating), depending on your program's preference.
These contract meals also provide Springboard Kitchens with an important revenue source. As with all of our programs, revenue generated through our contract meals goes directly back into the program to fund our job training and placement efforts. A wonderful "full circle" is created when our students work hard to provide meals for others while simultaneously transforming their lives and working towards their own self-sufficiency.
