Springboard Kitchens
Springboard Kitchens is a food service based job training and placement program for homeless and other disadvantaged individuals. By working with our trainees to prepare fresh, healthful meals in our kitchen each day and by coordinating other support and job placement services, we help people to completely transform their lives. Schools, senior homes, shelters, and agencies that need meal service can contract with us for quality meals at competitive prices. Individuals, organizations, and business can hire us to cater events of any size. Every dollar earned from the meals our trainees produce directly supports someone's transition from being homeless and unemployed to being a stable wage earner—from being a recipient to a participant!
Springboard Kitchens is based on a very successful program based in Seattle, Washington, called Catalyst Kitchens™, which is now replicated in cities across the country. We are pleased to be a Rising Member of Catalyst Kitchens™, a collaborative network of organizations specializing in job and personal training through food service from which we get support, new ideas and innovations, and best practices.
