Springboard Kitchens Student Needs List
As our students work towards beginning a new job, they are in need of many items. We welcome donations of new, unopened items from the wish list below.
You can bring your donation to the Springboard Kitchens administrative office, located at 3171 Babcock Boulevard in the North Hills, or contact us to arrange pick-up: (412) 366-9490. Please label items before dropping them off.
- Pillows/Pillow Cases
- USB Flash Drives (128mb or less, for storing resumes and cover letters)
- Watches
- Umbrellas or rain gear
- Salon gift certificates for hair care (downtown locations)
- Small gift certificates to all-around stores (downtown locations)
- Movie passes, sporting event tickets, etc. (downtown locations)
- Gift cards for grocery stores or fast food restaurants (downtown locations)
- Towels (bath size preferred)
- White t-shirts (size M to 3XL)
- Socks (white cotton)
- Underwear
*Please keep in mind that due to health regulations we cannot accept used items (even those that are only gently used).
You can also make a monetary donation to sponsor a trainee. To give you an idea of what your dollars can purchase:
- $25 will purchase the program binder and materials for one student.
- $50 will purchase a graduation gift, such as a set of chef companion books or a set of chef's knives with a carrying case.
- $150 will purchase a full set of uniforms for a trainee.
Simply make your donation online or by mail, and be sure to indicate the intended purpose of your gift.
