Try An Alternative Web Browser
Web browsers are software programs that let us connect our computers to the Internet and display web pages. Most of us use Internet Explorer (IE) as our web browser because IE is packaged with the computer's operating system.
However, we can use other web browsers to make our connection and display web pages. There are many fine alternative browsers manufactured by Google (Chrome), Mozilla (FireFox), and Apple (Safari). All of these alternative browsers are free for download and installation.
Alternative browsers are usually smaller in size, load web pages faster, and may be more secure than Internet Explorer.
In addition, you can open and run two or more browsers at the same time.
Let's download and install the Google web browser, Chrome. Follow these steps:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Navigate to google.com.
- Type Google + Chrome in the keyword search box.
- Find the link for Google Chrome Download.
- Navigate to the download page and download Chrome to your desktop.
- Scan the installation program for viruses and spyware.
- Install the program accepting all the download recommendations.
Once Chrome is installed you can familiarize yourself with its many features.
Happy Surfing!
